Known Program Issues

Our Quark, Pagemaker, Word, Excel and Power Point programs are Macintosh native. Generally, the main transfer problem in Quark, Pagemaker and Word between Mac and PC will be a font issue, however, this has been reduced with the OSX Mac Platform. PC Pagemaker files seem to be more problematic going cross-platform and we may request you send a PC Pagemaker file as a pdf. To date, we have not experienced transfer problems from Power Point or Excel files.

Fonts:
While we have large font libraries for our Mac's and PC, we may occassionally need to request a font. Fonts can now sometimes be shared between Mac's and PC's, but many type faces carry the same name and appearance for both operating systems. Please don't hesitate to contact us when you are setting up your document(s) for a font comparison.

Arial Font Issue: Some versions of the Arial font do not transfer their symbol characters (apostrophes, quotes, astericks, bullets, etc.). This can occur Mac to Mac or PC to Mac, and even PC to PC. We have found that by using the Helvetica font instead can remove this issue.

Proofs

We will request that you fax us a proof (print-out) of an emailed document. We can then compare to our test print and eliminate any issues before proceeding with the job.

We will also supply you with a pdf or faxed proof of work you have asked us to prepare before printing. We will not proceed with your printing until the proof has been approved.

We are not responsible for printing errors when we have not been supplied with a proof.
